In a unique journey, Katch is helping Ireland's most eligible batchelor find his true match by going on a date with a single woman from each of the 26 counties in Ireland. The batchelor’s 3-month adventure is all about searching for "Miss Right" in hopes of building a lasting relationship.

As our batchelor puts it, “Dating feels less authentic these days, especially for those over 30. Swiping and chatting online has replaced real face-to-face connections.” This sentiment echoes the frustrations of many singles worldwide, who struggle to find meaningful relationships in an era dominated by apps and digital interactions.

A major issue for those over 30 is the tendency to limit their dating pool. Around 90% of singles tend to date within a close geographical area and within specific age and social groups. This narrow approach makes it harder to find that magical spark—a spark that was often more spontaneous in our 20s, when we were more open to festivals, travel, and chance encounters. The concept behind "26 Dates in 26 Counties" aims to reignite that spontaneity, encouraging the batchelor to meet women based on personality, interests, and experience authentic, in-person connections.

The journey kicks off in County Waterford, before travelling through all 26 counties, concluding in County Wexford. Each date will be shared on social media, allowing followers to join the fun and explore Ireland along the way. Even if the batchelor finds a promising match midway through, he will still complete all 26 dates, revealing his true love at the show’s end.
